The only child of George and Josephine [nee: Lounger] Cruse. Husband of Catherine Marie [nee Moore], married in 1942 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden. Father of George L. Jr., JoAnn [Joseph] Wagner / [Valise] Dovan / [Bruce] Teare, and Kathleen [Victor] Santucci. He attended Camden Catholic H.S., and was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II. After a honorable discharge from the Army he and his family lived in the Fairview section of Camden until in early 1960's then moved to Haddon Heights until his sudden death, caused by a heart attack, in 1982. George worked for several years as a Treasury Department agent then for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier. For many years he served as a volunteer fireman in Haddon Heights. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Epiphany Council of Knights of Columbus, and a Color Corps 4th Degree member of the Bishop Eustace Assembly. Was also an organizer of the Fairview Baseball Little League.
