Golden F. Casto
Golden F. Casto, 89, of Buffalo, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 22, 2011.
He was an Ordained Preacher and a Licensed Auctioneer in West Virginia and Ohio. He retired from Union Carbide after 20 years of service.He loved his family and farming.
Born May 24, 1921, he was the son of the late Theodore Casto and Mary Siders Casto.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Margaret Atalee Miller Casto; 11 brothers and sisters; and a grandson, Jimmie Lee Casto.
Survivors include his son, Jasper (Mary) Casto of Buffalo; his daughter, Nancy (Vermont) Higginbotham of Leon; a sister, Emma Miller of Marysville, California; grandchildren, Timmie (Renne) Casto of Buffalo, Johnnie (Vanessa) Casto of Buffalo, Cindy (David) McDaniel of Leon, Mark (Trish) Higginbotham of Culloden, and Frederick (Lisa) Higginbotham of Leon; 13 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25 at Raynes Funeral Home in Buffalo, with Pastor Jerry Ranson officiating. Burial will follow in Creston Cemetery in Leon.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 24 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
