Letha Ann Hall, 91, 112 2nd Avenue, Washington, Iowa died Thursday, Januray 26, 1995 at the Washington Care Center, Washington, Iowa following a short illness. The daughter of Thomas M. Boden and Ella Jane Vanhorn, she was born September 5, 1903 at Cariro, Iowa.
On October 20, 1920 she married Floyd W. Hall in Columbus City, Iowa. Formerly of the Spring Run community, she had resided in Washington since 1995. She was a member of the Marion Avenue Baptist Church and was fithful to bible teaching and the progress of her church. As a homemaker, she worked with her husband farming in the Spring Run community until 1965, when they moved to Washington.
Survivors include six children; Mrs. Neil (Malba) Grim, Columbus Jct., Iowa; Mrs. Clarence (June) Koepping, Lincoln, Neb., Herbert Hall, Normal, Ill, Wendell Hall, Packwood, Iowa; Mrs. Robert (Peggy) Buffingon, Washington, Iowa; and Mrs. Joyce Linchicum, casagrand, Ariz.; 28 grandhildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.
she was preceed in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd in 1974, 2 sons Alfred and Gary, 1 daughter, Jewell Dowell, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral services were held Monday, Janurary 30, 1995 at 10 a.m. from the Marion Avenue Baptist Church, Washington with the Rev. Lary Brown officiating. Interment was in the Columbus City Cemetery, Columbus City, Iowa. The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Jones Funeral Home, Washington, who was in charge of arrangements.
A memorial has been established to the Marion Avenue Baptist Church.
