Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at First English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove.
Interment will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Julie Schmidt was born June 15, 1959 in Tracy, Minnesota to John and Pat Hansen. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Walnut Grove and graduated from Walnut Grove High School. Julie was united in marriage to John Schmidt on March 31, 2001 at First English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. In her earlier years, Julie was a member of the Milroy First Responders and part of a bowling league for many years. She worked at Schwan's in the product development department as a Senior Technician. Julie loved working with flowers, enjoyed stamping and was involved in "stamping girls weekends." Her children were very special to her and Julie loved spending time with her granddaughter, who was her pride and joy.
Julie is survived by her husband John; daughter Sarah (Zwach) Pfarr; son Chris Zwach; granddaughter Brenna; and mother Pat Hansen. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Michael, David (Heidi), Karen (Lee) Boril, Tom (Lynn), Steve (Virginia), Dan (Evan Page); and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
