Obituary
Mrs. Gertrude A. Gass, 75, resident of Rice Lake 48 years, died at a local hospital Sunday morning. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Schneider Funeral Chapel and at Grace Episcopal church with the Rev. Arthur R. P. Heyes officiating. Burial was in the family lot at Colfax, Wis.
Mrs. Gass was born in Sand Creek, Wis., in Sep. 1865. She was married to Frank W. Gass Sept. 10, 1883. The couple came to Rice Lake in 1893.
Mrs. Gass was one of the oldest members of the Rebecah lodge No. 75.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Irene Thompson, Rice Lake; a brother, Frederick, Rice Lake; a sister, Ida, Issaquah, Washington; and a granddaughter, Ruth, and a grandson, Robert.
