On September 21, 1901, while living in Bruce, Wis., Fred was united in marriage to Arvilla Reynolds at Rice Lake, Barron County, Wis. in a ceremony witnessed by Frank W. Gass and Gertrude A. Gass. Arvilla was born in 1874, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Reynolds. The marriage ended in divorce prior to 1910. Their one child was Alice Laforge born in 1903. His gravestone is inscribed "Fred H. LaForge 1872 - 1950." He was called "Pat" by his relatives & friends.
