Services for Jo Ann Cavinder McFarland, 58, former resident of Iowa Park, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hampton-Vaughan Funeral Home. Dr. Greg Ammons, pastor of Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park, officiated. Burial was in Crestview Memorial Park. Mrs. McFarland died Friday in Wichita Falls. Born Aug. 20, 1934 in Winona, Minn., she had lived in the Wichita Falls and Iowa Park areas since 1960. Mrs. McFarland was a Methodist and a self-employed bookkeeper 26 years. She was Grand President of MOCA of Texas in 1983-84. She was president of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post No. 2147 and was past president of MOCA No. 47. Mrs. McFarland held numerous offices and appointments in the VFW Auxiliary and MOCA. She was a charter member of MOC and MOCA and served on the Honor Guard of MOCA Auxiliary No. 47.

Survivors include her husband, J.T.; three sons, Mike Cavinder of Sarasota, Fla., Donnie and Jeff Cavinder, both of Wichita Falls; three daughters, Sherry Miller, Marian Peterson and Heidi Cavinder, all of Wichita Falls; one brother, Gerald Heitzfeldt of Hooper, Neb., and six grandchildren.
