Christian King, 68, died at his home 28 Rowland St., [Ballston Spa] late Sunday [15 Dec] afternoon after being stricken with a heart attack while shoveling the sidewalk. Mr. King was a well known and highly respected citizen of Ballston Spa.

Mr. King was born in Germany Dec. 4, 1867, and went to Saratoga Springs when a young man. He later resided in South Milton and for the past several years had made his home in Ballston Spa. He worked at the garage of his son Carl King, in Milton Avenue.

Always active in church affairs, Mr. King was an elder and member of the Board of Sessions in the Presbyterian Church, and only Sunday morning assisted in the communion service. Before coming to Ballston Spa he was a member and elder in the West Milton Presbyterian Church.

Mr. King leaves his wife formerly Julia Cullen; one daughter, Mrs. Frederick Gray, Saratoga Ave.; two sons, Gordon King, South Milton, and Carl King, Malta Ave.; three granddaughters, Dorothy King, South Milton, and Janet and Jean Gray, Saratoga Ave.; one brother John King, Saratoga Ave., two sisters, Mrs. Margaret [Clark] Lane and Mr.s John Wiedeman, Schenectady, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services 2 o’clock tomorrow at the late residence. Burial in the Ballston Spa Cemetery.
