The 44th. —The 44th (Ellsworth) regiment went into recent battle 400 strong, and came out with less than 200. John H. Russell of Saratoga, and John Harlow, of Ballston, are reported wounded. William B. Horton, son of our [Saratoga] County Clerk, escaped unhurt, and was in good health and spirits at last accounts.
