Cambridge—Carroll W. Goodwin, 50, of Star Route, East Greenwich, died Wednesday [29 Aug] at Mary McClellan Hospital, Cambridge after a brief illness.

Mr. Goodwin was born in Syracuse June 26, 1923. He had been a resident Greenwich for the past 45 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of the American Legion in Salem and for the past 12 years was a guard at the Salem Jail. He is survived by several cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the Flynn Brothers Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich, and at 10 a.m. from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church where the Burial Office will be read by William R. Harris, rector. Interment will be in Ballston Spa Cemetery.
