John Bulkeley, well known up north correspondent for Albany and Troy newspapers, died Saturday [4 July] evening at Ballston Sap of consumption, aged 54 years. Funeral occurs tomorrow. He was connected with The Journal a year ago and proved a faithful and excellent worker.
