Mrs. Mary E. Wasson, age 82, widow of James Wasson, died this morning at 3 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Morghson north of Hope, after an illness of two weeks of a complication of ailments.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Pleasant Grove Church, northeast of Hope, and burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Wasson was born and spent most of her life in the vicinity of Hope. Since the death of her husband 23 years ago, she has spent much of her time with her children and for a number of years lived at Shelbyville. At an early age, she united with the Pleasant Grove Church where she continued her membership.

Besides Mrs. Morghson, she is survived by six children, Mrs. Jacob Keith, Mrs. Sam Walker, and Curt Wasson of Shelbyville, Walter Wasson of Posey County; Marshall Wasson of Bartholomew County, and Otis Wasson, principal of the Central School, northeast of Hope. Other surviving relatives include two brothers, John and Martin Hill of Decatur County, a half brother, James Hill of Indianapolis, a sister, Mrs. Indiana Springer, and a half sister, Mrs. Minerva Compton of Shelbyville. There are also 31 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
