Mr. Kenny Eastep, age 43, of Long Beach, MS and former resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011.

Born in Columbia, TN, son of Carolyn Eastep and the late Wayne Eastep and husband of Tamara Parker Eastep of Long Beach, MS. He was working as a truck driver for Fagan Trucking of Saucier, MS. Kenny was always aware of people in need and went to great measures to help them and he was a mentor for youth in the state, working through Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg, MS. He attended Gulf Coast Worship Center in Long Beach.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children: Brandon Lane Eastep of Long Beach and Joshua Ben Dugger of Mt. Pleasant; siblings, Randy (Tammy) Eastep and Stan (Pat) Eastep, both of Mt. Pleasant, and Barry (Melanie) Eastep of Columbia; father and mother-in-law: Donald and Katherine Parker. He was preceded in death by a special child he mentored for 9 years, Lance Nonemacher.

Funeral services for Kenny will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, June 12, 2011, in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens. the family will visit with friends Saturday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
