Wakarusa Tribune - Wedmesday. 10 May 1917: Mrs. Catharine Doering, aged 84, for over 40 years a well known resident of Goshen died suddenly Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock of heart trouble and complications. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George Rose of St. Joseph, Mich.; Mrs. Jacob Kreider and Mrs. Israel Myers of Goshen, and two sons, Eli Doering of Paola, Kan., and Roy Doering of Goshen.
