Inscription

Here lieth the body of the once very ufeful

HENRY LAKE

A lover of juftice, Truth, and the Religion of Jefus Christ, who departed this life November 28th., 1804., about the 65th year of his age.

"The serpent need not gape for prey,
Nor Death his Vict'ry boaft,
For Jefus takes the fting away,
And all their power is loft.
Then let the Juft with Jefus lleep,
In undisturbed repofe,
And only lie thus buried deep,
To rife as once he rofe."
