Painter. He was associated with Indian Modernism in 1940's. In 1996 he suffers several problems by paintings originally created in the 1970s, which were interpreted by some as being anti-Hindu. After any legal cases and death threats in India, he settled in self-imposed exile in London. In 2010, he addopted the Qatar citizenship. He was considered by Forbes Magazine as "The Indian Picasso".
