Mary Eliza Jeffries, 80, died April 15 at Sampson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was a daughter of the late Tom Morrison and Sara Turk Morrison and was born April 16, 1882. She was married to George W. Jeffries in 1903. He died in 1960. Mrs. Jeffries joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church early in life but later became a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, E. T. Jeffries, Ft Worth, TX; Chelsie Jeffries, Indianapolis, IN; and Wilson Jeffries, Greensburg; a daughter Mrs. Everett Paxton, Greensburg; a sister Mrs. Dillie Walker, Greensburg. Funeral services were conducted at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Coffey Cemetery, Rev. V.A. Jones officiated. Pallbearers were Aubrey Paxton, Aubrey Pruitt, Marshall Paxton, Vernon Judd, Shreve Loy, Mitchell Patterson.
