"She was born Dorothy Earlene Johnson on December 8, 1926 in Gouldbusk, Texas to Thomas Marion and B. T. Pearl Wright Johnson. Dorothy was raised in Coleman where she attended the Coleman ISD and was a member and 20 year Sunday School teacher at Elm Street Church of Christ. On June 15, 1946 Dorothy married Raymond Carnes in Coleman, Texas and they celebrated sixty four years a marriage. Raymond preceded her in death in 2010. She enjoyed scrapbooking, working in her yard and camping in the outdoors. Dorothy was a homemaker lovingly taking care of her home and family.
