George C Brueggeman, aged 73, well known farmer, died Thursday night at 11:45 o'clock at his residence, 12 miles from Fort Wayne on the Milan Center Road, New Haven, Rural Route No 1. Death was caused by thrombus after a week's illness. Mr Brueggeman was born in Whitley County February 15, 1860. He had been a resident of Allen County 38 years first residing on a farm in St Joe Township. He lived for 29 years on the farm where his death occurred. Mr Brueggemann was a member of St Peter's Lutheran Church at Goeglein. Surviving are the widow, Anna; two sons, Adolph and Walter, of Milan Township; a daughter, Mrs Louis Schaefer, of Milan Township; six grandchildren; three brothers, Ernest, John and Charles, all of Whitley County, and two sisters, Mrs Martha Trier and Miss Amalia Brueggeman, both of South Whitley. Funeral rites will be held Sunday at 1:30 CST at the residence and at 2 pm at St Peter's Lutheran Church with the Rev Henry Abram officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
