Mrs. Jane Andrew Picken, 981 N. Court st., widow of John A. Picken, died suddenly Thursday afternoon at 8 o'clock at the home from a heart attack. She had been able to be about her home at noon in her ordinary health.
Mrs. Picken was born in Argyle, Ill., and had lived in Rockford for the past 17 years. She was married in June 1880. Her husband died June 6, 1914. A son, George M. Picken, 983 N. Court st., a grandson, J. Louis Picken, and two sisters, Mrs. William Reid, Rockford, and Mrs. Charles Kelly, Caledonia, survive.
Mrs. Picken had been active in the affairs of the First Presbyterian church.
The funeral will be held from the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. W. H. Fulton, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
