James W. Freeman, 79, of Paducah passed away Friday, March 5, 2010, at 11:25 a.m. at Lourdes hospital.
James was a native of Marshall County, a self-employed concrete finisher and a farmer. He was a member of Heartland Worship Center. James enjoyed being around people and had a great love for gospel and country music.
Services will be held Monday, March 8, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Johnny Sams officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Kenton Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Beth Trena Wilson and husband Carey of Paducah; two sons, Terry A. Freeman and wife Cathy of Benton, Ky., and Ronald J. Freeman and wife Barbara of Coldwater, Mich.; three sisters, Edna Mae Farmer, Shirley Cunningham and Alice Faye Dick, all of Paducah; one brother, Harrell Freeman of Calvert City, Ky.; six grandchildren, Terry Freeman Jr. and wife Tangela, Lucas Freeman, Erin Wilson Kennedy and husbad Billy, Serena Wilson, Danny Freeman and wife Tammy and Nicole Freeman; five great-grandchildre, Ricky and Elizabeth Freeman, Breann and Lyndsey Tucker and Tatum Kennedy; and several neices and nephews.
Preceding James in death were his wife of 59 years, Yvette Bagwell Freeman; his parents, William Cletus "Clete" Freeman and Gladys Marie Newton Freeman; and one sister, Janice Kay Freeman.
