Menervia Jane Bales, 88, had lived in Wichita Falls for many years. She moved to Odessa in 1957. She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church.
Survived by three sons - C.A. Bales, Edward Bales; two daughters - Mrs. T.B. King, Mrs. Della Cloyd; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren.

Menervia Scribner and Sylvester Bales married 13 Sep 1895 in Independence County, Arkansas and then moved to Texas.
