Noah King, 112 North Boulevard, died Sunday morning in Southeast Missouri Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. He was 83 years old.

Mr. King was born at Leemon, Dec. 12, 1889.

He was employed by the Frisco Railroad for 32 years as a section hand and assistant foreman. Mr. King was a member of the brotherhood of railway maintenance, and a member of McClain's Chapel at Indian Creek.

He was formerly married to Mary Pinkston, and May 1937 he married Miss Amanda Craft.

Surviving: his wife; sons, Jack, Woodrow, and Lyman King, Jackson, Dennis King, Watertow, Tenn., Leo, J.D., Tommy and Gene King, all of Cape Girardeau; daughters, Mrs. Maple Craft, Cape Girardeau and Mrs. Charles Slusher, Needles, Calif.; brother, Harrison King, Jackson; 34 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, three daughters, three brothers and three sisters.

Service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 at New Bethel Baptist Church, east of Pocahontas, by the Rev. Glenn Cummings. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The body is at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, and will be taken to the church as 12:30 Tuesday.
