Seleucia was born in the Mt. Dell settlement of Utah. It was just up to the tip of Parley's Canyon. Her family moved to Big Cottonwood(now known as Holladay)shortly after her birth, and then in 1879 her family moved to Ashley Valley (now known as the Uintah Basin). In January 1880 Seleucia was accidentally burned on her legs and stomach with hot water. A little later she contracted diphtheria and for several weeks was very ill. On February 17, 1880 her spirit left her frail little body.
