JoAnn L. (Humbert) Harrington, of New Oxford, died June 7, 2011, in Hanover. She was the wife of Joseph B. Harrington, Sr, who died March 9, 2008.

She was born April 4, 1939, in Hanover, the daughter of the late Elmer and Iva (Smith) Humbert.

Mrs. Harrington was member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford, a 1957 graduate of New Oxford High School, and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Shiloh.

She retired from Doubleday Book Company in Hanover after 46 years of service.

JoAnn is survived by two sons, Joseph B. Harrington, II of Dover, and Cory L. Harrington of New Oxford; two daughters, Peggy Wompler of Dover, and Michelle L. Harrington of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Fred Humbert of York Springs, and Burnell Humbert, of New Oxford.

She was also predeceased by a son, Joseph B. Harrington, Jr.; and a brother, Norm Humbert.

Funeral services will be held June 9, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, New Oxford, with Father Daniel P. O'Brien officiating. Burial will be June 11, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, New Oxford.
