Delphis St. John was with US Navy 1917 to 1919

Delphis St. John, 45, of West Warwick, died last night in the Rhode Island hospital after a lingering illness. A veteran of the World War, he served as a pharmacist's mate from June 4, 1917 to November 1, 1919 and was honorably discharged No. 3 in the latter year. Mr. St. John was employed in the dye house of the Crompton Company and later with Westover Fabrics.
Born in New Bedford, April 14, 1894, he was a son of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Casavant) St. John. He is survived by two brothers, Joseph of West Warwick and Henry of Utica, New York; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas McCrea, of South Carolina and another in Canada.
The body was removed to Thomas Robert and Son Funeral Home,
Washington Street, West Warwick. Funeral services will be held from there Monday morning at 9:15 o'clock followed by a requiem mass at 10 in St. John's Chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery in West Warwick.
