Funeral services were held for Mrs. Lora Casteel Sunday afternoon at the New Bethel Baptist Church in Shawnee Township. Mrs. Casteel died in St. Louis Friday.
Born in the Neelys Landing community, her maiden name being Craft, Mrs. Casteel spent the greater part of her life in the northern part of this county, but since the death of her husband, Frelan Casteel, three years ago, had lived with her children in St. Louis. She is survived by six children, some of whom live in the county and others in St. Louis.

Lloyd (1902-1991), Arvel (Orville) (1904-1924), Elsie (1907- ), Mollie (1909- ), Etta (1912- ), Leslie Willard (1916-1998).
