MCGARRITY Bluffton, Jan. 18 - Stephen A. McGarrity, 79, retired tinsmith died last night at the Wells County Hospital here following an illness of several weeks. A native of Piqua, O., he had resided here many years. Surviving are a son, Ralph, whose place of residence is not known here and a brother, James of Columbus, O. The body was removed to the McBride Funeral Home and funeral services will be held there at 10 am Friday; in charge of Rev. Matthew Worthman of the First Evangelical and Reformed Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Journal-Gazette January 19, 1940
