William W. Bertram, age 76, of Jamestown, passed away on Monday, May 7 at Humana Audubon Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Monticello, Kentucky on May 1, 1914 as the son of William T. and Abbie Burris Bertram. He was preceded by his wife, Sarah Ann Price Bertram.
Mr. Bertram was a garage owner and Jamestown businessman for years.
Survivors include one son, Robert L. Bertram of Jamestown; one daughter, Suzanne Story of Louisville; two brothers, Ollie Bertram of Pueblo, Colorado and Roscoe Bertram of Monticello; seven sisters, Mattie Stephens and Hattie Reese, both of Jamestown, Bertha Damron, Ima Hancock, Nina Slagle, Arzella Brown and Eva Tuggle, all of Monticello; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The funeral was May 9 with burial in the Jamestown Cemetery.
