Sgt. William J. Woitowicz, 23, of Middlesex, Mass., died June 7 while conducting combat operations in Badghis province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 2nd Marine Special Operations Battalion, Marine Special Operations Regiment, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command, Camp Lejeune, N.C. Besides his loving parents, he is survived by his brother, Christopher Woitowicz, his sister, Amanda Woitowicz; grandparents Albert and Carol Labelle; great aunts Sophie Brule, Gabrielle Haley, Josephine Stevens; great uncle Warren Stevens; aunts and uncles David and Jane Woitowicz, Anne Marie and Frank Polak, Anne Marie and James Boyle, MaryEllen Labelle and Larry Osmer, Albert Labelle, Jr. and Morena Michelangelo, Willliam Labelle; cousins Allan and Lauren Woitowicz, Nicholas and Matthew Polak, Joseph, MaryClaire, Rosemary, John, Brian, Anna, Elizabeth, Cecelia and Grace Boyle, James, Kevin, and Steven Mullen, Melanie Michelangelo and Catherine Labelle-Michelangelo, Danielle Labelle; extended family Joe and Karen Moore and Matt, Mike, Jenny and Drew Moore. He was pre-deceased by grandparents Jeannette and Florian Woitowicz and Great Uncle Aleck Woitowicz. He is also survived by his family of fellow marines.
