She was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life, and formerly worked at the Fireplace Restaurant and Connie Fashions.
Edith was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters and two sons;
one brother; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, with two more on the way at the time of her death.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Milner; a grandson, Jeff Harrison; and eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral service: Thursday, June 9, 2011, Chapel of West Funeral Home.
Burial: Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
