Ella Belle "EB" Goodwin, 86, of Gladstone, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. She was born on April 7, 1923 in Coldwater to the late Chester and Alta (Bickford) Hall.

EB was married to Marion C. Goodwin and together they raised 4 children. She was a retired Deputy Sheriff for Crawford County. EB was a member of the Deputy Sheriff Association, The Bay Mills-Brimley Historical Society, and the War Memorial Hospital Volunteers. She enjoyed volunteering for the Boys & Girls Club of Traverse City, playing cards, and being with family.

EB is survived by her children, Marlene Wilcox of Traverse City and Wayne & Vicki Goodwin of Gladstone; her daughter-in-law, Christine; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Marion; and two sons, Donald Goodwin and Dennis Goodwin.

Visitation for EB will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009 from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. at the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska. The funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor Greg Wolfe of the Kalkaska United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
