According to "Talladega County, Alabama Tombstone Inscriptions of All Known Cemeteries 1700's to 1987," Vol. II, c. 1990, Joseph W. and Francis S. Upchurch, Roxana Richardson Wares' tombstone reads: "2-9-1784 to 5-4-1874, m. 4-11-1809 at Watertown, Mass."
