His siblings were but not limited to...
Matilda Clark Walker 1851 – 1937
John Williams "Jim" Clark 1868 – 1939
Easter Dicie Clark Perdue 1864 – 1949
Anna Elizabeth Clark Hayes Richardson 1871 – 1948
According to the marriage certificate he married age 23 to Betty Lee Young in Lebanon, Wilson County, Tennessee, USA on the 13 Feb 1883. Interesting because his bride Betty Lee was only 16 at the time of their marriage, but incredibly ironic because years later when his first daughter Lula ran away to get married she was only 16 at the age of marriage and he was not happy about it at all.
However, this was common back then, and though his daughter Lula was 3 or 4 years younger than her husband Arthur Purvis, whilst James himself at his marriage in 1883 was 7 years senior to his bride at the time.
According to many family members, he had been so angered that he had made death threats more than once to the man who took his daughter away. Of course in time this was forgotten as Lula gave him 12 grandchildren, and she and Arthur lived together till the end of their days.
Also worth noting in his obituary that his second wife had just passed 3 months prior to his death but does not name her specifically, and that he had moved at that time from Putnam to live with his son.
