Violet B. Baird, 87, of Flora, formerly of Salem, died 4:20 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, 1994, at Clay County Hospital in Flora.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Kip Knavel officiating. Burial will be in the Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Odin. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Monday).
Baird was born Oct. 3, 1906, in Kinmundy, the daughter of Thomas W. and Millie Alderson. She married Ralph R. Baird on April 13, 1953, in Mt. Vernon.
She was the past owner and operator of Baird's Market in Salem. She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her husband, of Flora; a son, Jim (Sharla) Baird of Flora and two grandchildren, Angela and Jordan Baird of Flora.
Baird was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
