Thomas J. Denes, 54, of New London, died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born September 24, 1955 in Elyria and lived in the Huntington Twp./LaGrange areas for most of his life.
Tom worked hand-in-hand with his son at Denes Concrete Co. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing in Canada, race horses, working on his son's farm and spending time with his granddaughters.
Survivors include his wife of four years, Kelly (nee Krupp); daughter, Amanda Denes of New London; stepdaughter, Shannon Schwarz of New London; sons, T.J. (Jodi) Denes and Todd Denes, both of Huntington Twp.; granddaughters, Grace and Morgan; mother, Patricia Jackson of Wellington; sisters, Dianna Pierce of Elyria, Barbara Valentik and Deborah Higgins, both of La-Grange; brother, Patrick Denes of Wellington.
He was preceded in death by his father James Denes in 1981; step-father, Larry Jackson in 1999; brother, James Denes and nephew, Christopher Denes, both in 2004.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 2 to 7 P.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 512 North Main St., Wellington. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 20, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. in the church. The Rev. James J. Reymann, Pastor ,will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at Huntington Cemetery, Huntington Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chris Denes Memorial Scholarship Fund, Lorain County 4-H Endowment, P.O. Box 205 Birmingham, OH. 44816.
