Ruth M. Shover Gingrich, 86, of Rye Twp., Marysville, passed away Sunday, June 5th, 2011 at Stonebridge Health & Rehab Center, Duncannon.
Mrs. Gingrich was born in Rye Twp., Perry County on July 27, 1924, the daughter of the late Melvin N. and Sarah (Shoue) Wolf.
She was retired from the former Marysville Dress Factory.
A member of Glenvale Church of God, Marysville, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and a member of Senior Life of the Glenvale Church.
She was the wife of Samuel F. Gingrich, with whom she was married for 14 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 53 years, Harvey F. Shover, who passed away March 4, 1996.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter: Joyce M., wife of Kenneth Snyder, Marysville; son: Harvey R., husband of Mary Shover, Marysville; son: Paul M., husband of Janet Shover, Duncannon; son: Curtis N. Shover, his companion, Sue Noss, Marysville; step children: Frances Kitner, ShermansDale, Joy D. Hair, Shermans Dale and Samuel L. Gingrich, New Bloomfield. two brothers: Lester Wolf and Edgar Wolf, both of Marysville. two sisters: Nellie Varner, Marysville and Sarah Jane Kurtz, Newport.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2011 in the Glenvale Church of God, Marysville, with Pastor Larry Hale officiating.
Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday in the church.
Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Michael J. Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville.
