Margaret S. "Peggy" Smith, 83, of 214 W. Main St., Kutztown, died Saturday in Laurel Living Center, Hamburg. She was the wife of the late Ogden W. Smith.
She owned and operated Peggy's Beauty Shop and Children's and Lady's Apparel Shop, both in Kutztown, before retiring in 1989. She was a hairdresser for 53 years.
Born in Bally, she was a daughter of the late John Sr. and Annie (Eddinger) Stoudt.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Kutztown.
Survivors: Daughters, Marcella M., wife of Craig L. Brinker of Kutztown, and Patricia S., wife of Kenneth G. Hare of Tuscarora, Schuylkill County; brothers, Cyril of East Greenville, Paul, Otto and John Jr., all of Palm, and Thomas of Lakeland, Fla.; sisters, Mary E. Brewer of Norristown, Lena Minner of East Greenville and Madelyn Flannick of Lindenwold, N.J.; four grandchildren and a great-grandson.
