Religious Leader. He was a prominent 19th Century Minister, and brother of author Harriet Beecher Stowe. The Second Presbyterian Church of Indianapolis called him to serve as its first minister. Charles Beecher, his brother, was a musician and established the first church choir in the city. He served as the first organist of the Second Presbyterian Church of Indianapolis.
