Howard H. Hare, 67, of 426 Mulberry St., died last night in the Reading Hospital. He was a retired city employee.
Born in Hamburg, the son of the late Samuel and Laura (Smith) Hare, he was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church; Chandler Lodge No. 227, F&AM; Reading Consistory; Rajah Temple; Rajah String Band; the Teamsters Union; the Ivy Leaf Assn., and the Pennwyn Motor Assn.
He is survived by his widow, Ruth E. Wenrich; a son, Robert, of Reading; a grandson, three great-grandchildren, and a brother, Charles, of Reading.
Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Gibson and Sanders Funeral Home, the Rev. Samuel Jaxheimer officiating. Burial will be in the Laureldale Cemetery.
