MRS. EMMALINE COVINGTON
WAYNESBORO, Miss., — A two-day illness resulted in the death of Mrs. Emmaline Covington, 70, well known resident of Coit Community, Friday in a local hospital.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Walters Funeral Home in Quitman is in charge.
Mrs. Covington was born in Choctaw County, Ala., the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. J. L. Carney. At the time of her death she was making her home with a sister, Mrs. Genie Odom, Coit Community. The family had resided in the community since 1908, and Mrs. Covington was a member of the Coit Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, J. P. Covington and Lee Covington, both of Ellisville: five grandchildren; two brothers Austin Carney, Matherville; and Ben Carney of Quitman; three sisters, Mrs. Odom; Mrs. Ethel Shows, Ellisville; and Mrs. Venie Lowe, St. Petersburg, Fla.
