Mary Louise Jones, 70, of Ypsilanti Township, and formerly of Homer, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor.
She was born Jan. 25, 1930, in Ross County, Ohio, to John W. and Rena (Moore) Yates.
She was a homemaker all of her life.
She married Ernest E. Jones on Nov. 18, 1968. He survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Linda I. Cooper and Judy A. Rice, both of Springfield, Ohio; sons, Robert and Earl Keeton, both of Springfield, Ohio, Lonnie L. Keeton of West Lake, Ohio, and Bill Keeton and Geno Jones, both of Ypsilanti; 23 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul and Charles Yates of Albion, Clyde Yates of Ocala, Fla., Homer Yates of Tennessee, Dale Yates of Allen and Don Yates of Detroit; and a sister, Carol Salyer of Springport.
She was preceded in death by daughters, Janet and Susie; brothers, John, Arnold and Ben Yates; and a sister, Bernice Skaggs.
Community involvement, hobbies: Member of the Church of Christ. Enjoyed singing, fishing and cooking.
Visitation: 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, Albion.
Service: 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Homer.
Memorials: American Diabetes Association.
