Warren Calvin Tidwell, 87, of Athens passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011, at home.

Mr. Tidwell was born September 28, 1923, in Limestone County to James F. Tidwell and Flossie Moore Tidwell.

Services will be at 7 p.m. today at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Limestone Memorial Gardens with Sam Binkley officiating.

Mr. Tidwell was a member of the East Side Church of Christ. He was a retired owner and operator of Calvin Cleaners, and an avid domino player who passed the love of playing to many.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Tidwell; two great-grandsons, Will Swinea and Ben Swinea; and his parents, James and Flossie Tidwell.

Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie Baugh and husband Edward, and Susan Tidwell Cotter, all of Athens; two grandchildren, Amy Swinea and husband Tyler of Florence, and Sherry Ezell and husband Ken of Leoma, TN; four great-grandchildren, Thomas Swinea, Holly Ezell, Seth Swinea and Cameron Ezell.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Swinea, Thomas Swinea, Ken Ezell, James Hoyt Powell, Freddie Richter and Ralph Gregg.

Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Swinea and Cameron Ezell.
