He enlisted in the Army on December 14, 1942 in Rochester, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in a machine shop and also as Single, without dependents.

Thomas was "Killed In Action" on Sicily during the war.

He was originally interred in Italy and was later repatriated here on July 24, 1948.

His brother, PFC John F. Flood, also "Died Of Wounds" during the war.
