Genevieve E. Conger, 91, of Grand Island died Monday, June 6, 2011, at Golden Living Center, Grand Island Lakeview. Genevieve was born on May 24, 1920, at Kimball, S.D., to James and Emma (Pospical) Moysis.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Conger, in 1970.

Survivors are: daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Erick Schwartz of Grand Island; brothers, Ed Moysis of Avon, S.D., Alvin Moysis of Dante, S.D., Lee Moysis of Highmore, S.D., and Robert Moysis of Wagner; sisters, Eleanor Anderson of Wagner and Martha Gengler of Rapid City, S.D.; grandchildren and their spouses, Brian Schwartz, Sandra and Larry Schmidt and Steven and Sonya Schwartz; great-grandchildren, Dawn Brown, Sean Schwartz, Sam Schwartz, Weston Goldsmith, Cooper Schmidt, Sayler Schwartz, Sage Schwartz and Sawyer Schwartz, and great-great-grandchildren, Gavin Brown and Kaylie Brown.

Genevieve was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Moysis and sisters, Marie Anderson and Olive Dunsmore.

Genevieve grew up on a farm near Dante, S.D., and graduated from Wagner High School. She was united in marriage to Dale Cole Conger, November of 1939. The couple lived in Wagner for many years, moving to Grand Island in 1957. Genevieve received her cosmetology license, and worked at Dody's Salon for several years. She moved to Omaha after her husband's death , later moving back to Grand Island.

Genevieve was of the Methodist faith. She was a past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star and member of Rebecca Lodge, Saddle Club, Eagles Auxiliary and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Her enjoyments included sewing and knitting. She was an avid reader, enjoyed dancing and loved her cats.

Burial was at ZCBJ Cemetery, Wagner, S.D.
