A memorial service for Miriam K. Rutz, 43, of Las Vegas, Nev., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City.
Miss Rutz died Wednesday (Aug. 16, 2006) of acute myoletic leukemia in MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Miriam K. Rutz was born March 29, 1963, in Red Wing. She attended Lincoln High School in Lake City. She graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1985 with a degree in mass communications. Since 1988, she lived in Las Vegas and worked in the insurance industry.
Surviving are her parents, Edward "Jerry" and Norma Rutz of Lake City; a sister, Coleen (Mark) Rieder of Rochester; and her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Kluess of Lake City.
