Moses Frasure, 83, of Cherry Street, Waverly, Ohio, formerly of Frasures Creek, McDowell, died Sunday, July 5, 2009, at the Pike Community Hospital.

He was born August 25, 1925 in Frasure Creek, the son of the late Oliver Frasure and Margaret (Reynolds) Frasure.

On April 3, 1945, Moses was united in marriage to Ruth (Osborne) Frasure, who preceded him in death on October 12, 1965.

Surviving are five children from this union: Buenal Agee of Waverly, Ohio; Elmer Frasure and wife, Julia, of Alexandria, Virginia; Euggle Robertson and husband, Branch, of Waverly, Ohio; Jewel Frasure and special friend, Alfred Hall of McDowell; and Kathy Ann Frasure, and fiance' Mathew Johnson of Eastern; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Moses and Lisa Robertson, and children, Ryan and Megan, Dana and Jeff Minshal, and children: Anthony, Nick and Cole; Gerri and V.G. Lambert, and daughter, Karlie Rae; Evelyn and Mark Nackman and children: Lillian and Josephine; Vincent Frasure; Cornell and Jill Robertson, and children: Hayden, Blake and Kathryn; Larry and Amy Robertson; and children: Cole Robertson and Kyle Stanley; Mellissa and Tim Hall, and children: Jessica and Kyle; Carolee and Chris Guyton, and children: Kaeci and Jade; Bobby and Angelina Hobson, and children: Michael, Mae, Elishe, Joseph and Evan; and his beloved, Oreo.

On November 3, 1966, Moses was united in marriage to Roberta (Newsome) Frasure who survives. Surviving from this union is a son, Moses Frasure II, and his wife, Pamela; and children: Amanda, Brooke and Moses Reece.

Moses was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers: Earl, Wade, Ray and Ted Frasure, Troy Frasure, Bill Halbert, and Joseph Halbert; and two sisters, Elizabeth Hall and Ansa Osborne.

Moses was a retired bus driver for the Floyd County Board of Education, and a farmer.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 9, at the Hall Funeral Home in Martin.

Burial will follow in the Frasure Cemetery, Frasure Creek, McDowell.
