U.S. Veteran Frank A. Woods was born May 1, 1921 to Frank Sr. and Julia Marie Estep in Sansaba, TX. He grew up in Texas and Arkansas. He enlisted in the Army National Guard and served in WWII and then later enlisted in the Marines where he served in the Korean War. Frank worked as a meat cutter, a policeman, a Greyhound bus driver, and was a security guard for the MGM in Reno, NV. He lived in various places, including Idaho, Arkansas, Texas, Nevada and California. He retired in Mesa, AZ. He married twice, to Louise then to Christina Gimbel. He and Christina moved to Pierre in 2004 to be closer to family. He is survived by his step-daughter, Marsha (Scott) Mutschler of Pierre, SD and his step-son, Gregory (Karen) Hagel of Lake Preston, SD; step grandchildren: April (Perry) Munion of Pierre, SD, Keith Mutschler of Lemmon, SD and Christina Mutschler of Brookings, SD; step-great-grandchildren: Neil, Charlie and Owen, all of Pierre; his Aunt, Lois, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Frances Ann, his wives: Louise and Christina, his brother, Harvey Roland and adopted brother, Dale.
In addition to the original obit above, it should be added that Frank married Edie Florence Huffman on July 30, 1943, in Comanche, Texas. Frank and Edie definitely had at least one daughter, but at this time I'm not sure of the daughter's name.
