Clara L. Briggs, 75, of 304 East Elmwood Ave., Lot # 30 Falconer NY, died in her home surrounded by her family after a brief battle with Leukemia.

Clara was born May 25th, 1936 in Ft. LeBoeuf Pa., (now Waterford) the daughter of Harold and Helen Dewey Parker. Clara was raised by her maternal Grandmother, Clara Dewey and Uncle Neil Dewey.

Clara attended Union City Schools and was a 1953 graduate of Corry High School. Clara was retired from the Lutheran Social Services where she was an accountant. In her off time Clara enjoyed Crocheting, having crocheted her daughters wedding dress and the Lords Prayer,she also in earlier years made many ceramic objects. Clara also enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Clara is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tom H. Briggs whom she married May 25th, 1957; two sons: Daniel(Audrey) Briggs of Jamestown, NY, Daryl(PamelaJo) Briggs of Clearwater Florida; a daughter: Debra J. Briggs(Gale Betts) of Greenhurst NY; ten grandchildren: Cynthia Fedrick(Jeff Wadsworth) of Lakewood NY, John Ramey(Sarah Blair) of Greenhurst, Joshua N.(Kristen) Briggs of Jamestown, Daniel A. Briggs of Jamestown, Roxanne L. Briggs(Eric Mortimer) of Jamestown, Allen(Danielle) Briggs of Raleigh N.C., Shelly Duell of Deerfield Beach Fla., Cady DiBlasi of Falconer NY, and Joseph Berenguer and Megan Prince of Clearwater Fla., a sister Eleanor McIntyre of Vero Beach Fla., twenty two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, grandmother and uncle she is preceded in death by an infant sister Merle Parker,and a son Chris L. Briggs.

Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
