The son of George A. Carter Sr. , and Laura Pickett, he was born April 15, 1902, in Greenville. He attended Greenville schools, and was employed as a cook for many years at Brown Company lumber operations until his retirement. He attended Andover Congregational Church.
Survivors include a brother, Charles Carter of Greenville Junction; a sister, Mrs. Charlotte Sutherland of Cheshire, Ct.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for David S. Carter will be held Wednesday, March 7 at 1 p. m. from the Andover Congregational Church with the Rev. Marriotte Churchill officiating.
Entombment will be in Woodlawn receiving vault. Spring interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Andover.
Arrangements are under the direction of Meader and Son Funeral Home Inc, Rumford.
